Press Releases

Dr. Philip J. Klump and Dr. Stacy Schmitz, of Alaska Advanced Dentistry in Anchorage, Alaska announces the recent integration of the latest dental laser technology into his practice.

Dr. Klump recently acquired the DEKA Ultra Speed C02 Laser. This is the latest generation of C02 lasers and is a real breakthrough in oral surgery and all soft tissue management, including disinfection and reduction of periodontal pockets. It only penetrates the tissue 1/10 mm making it almost pain free. It therefore markedly reduces post-operative patient pain and produces faster healing with predictable results.

The clinical advantages of lasers are significant, but clinical performance is not the only reason for the heightened role of an Ultra Speed C02 laser. Patients welcome the use of lasers in their care and readily perceive important benefits such as increased comfort and faster healing.

Most surgical procedures can be performed with less anesthetic, no swelling and minimal post-operative discomfort. Its bacteria reducing properties have been well documented in available literature The “Ultra Speed” technology has been specifically designed for all areas of General Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Endodontics, Implantology and Esthetic/Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Klump and his team are pleased to welcome this exciting new technology to Alaska Advanced Dentistry. They are thrilled to add this laser to their already unique benefits of soft-tissue laser technology to their patients. Dr. Klump and his team successfully completed the Certification program with DEKA Ultra Speed C02 laser.
